All about Plots

• The Westport Community Garden is open to any Westport resident between school age and senior status.
  
• The Garden is located on Hyde Lane next to Long Lots Elementary School. Because the garden is on official school property one must make certain adjustments to our comings and goings. One may not visit the garden during school opening and dismissal hours. In addition, because young children are nearby, all gardeners must get a handpass from the Westport Parks and Recreation department. A check against the state sex offenders list is part of the process of issuing a handpass.
• Interest gardeners may rent a plot for a season. Due to our increasing popularity, plots are 10' x 20' for new requests. (10' x 40' plots are only given out to existing gardeners. We do have some extra shady spots available, good for lettuce, berries and flowers.) A modest charge of $25.00 (tentative) is made for renting a plot for the 2010 season.

Applying for a Garden Plot

• Use the application form on this website to apply for a plot and pass for the 2010 season. Click on Apply for Garden Plot. You must fill in your name, e-mail address and/or phone number and agree to the Rules and regulations. When you have completed the form, click on the Apply button and wait for a confirmation that your application has been received.
• You will be billed for the plot after you apply. You will not be officially allocated a plot until your payment is received.
• If all plots are taken, you will be put on a waiting list.
